Auspicious beginnings

It's 6:45 in the evening on Sunday.

I have an early call time on set tomorrow morning.

One problem.

I don't know what time that early call time is for, and I'm not 100% sure where the set is.

I guess that makes two problems.

Nothing better than starting a new job without knowing where/when you're supposed to show up. Nothing better in the least.

There's still time for the AD to contact me, but it's starting to seem unlikely.

Hello, my name is Ben, and I'm a completely disposable peon. It's nice to make your acquaintance. My pride? It's over there in the corner weeping. Quietly. So as not to annoy the big shots.

I got my time

So I sent an email to the lady I've been in contact with regarding my call time and got a fairly prompt response.

5:15 AM.

I did not say "Gee, that's a little early."

I did not say "You couldn't have told me before 7:00 the night before?"

I did not say "State regulations prohibit me from being more than 50 meters from my home before 9 o'clock in the morning, at least until the appeal goes through."

I said "I'll be there, thanks."
