Why is it that in movies whenever there's something creepy going on there's always some creaky old vocal jazz record on the radio? I mean yes, it sort of works, but do you know how hard it is to find ANY jazz on the radio, let alone creepy vocal stuff from 1940? We all know that in reality if you turn in a radio you have about a 50% chance of hitting some really shitty top 40 music, a reasonable shot of some baby boomer rock, and the rest is rap or talk.
Just once I'd like to see the radio flip on during a tense sequence only to blare out "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, damn right, it's better than yours"
It may not be as effective as Ella Fitzgerald singing "Paper Moon" but damn it, IT'S WHAT WOULD HAPPEN!
