Here there be monsters

Every year literally hundreds of actors are paid to sit in conference rooms (or on sets that look like conference rooms) and pretend to be talking. Every commercial you see where they show a shot of a bunch of attractive professionals sitting around a table interacting in silence, well, actual people had to sit there and pretend to talk for them to get that.

I always wonder what they're talking about.

Are they pointing to pie charts while they chat about how when they started out acting they had thoughts of Broadway and Hollywood but now they're the "Attractive Middle Aged Manager" who gets 2 seconds of silent facetime in an IBM commercial and the dream has officially died?

Are they all hitting on the "Hot but professional young woman"?

Or are they complaining about the shitty craft service lunch?

I wonder.
